So Erykah Badu is coming out with her own brand of rolling papers as per her Myspace bulletin. Should we even be surprised? And why didn’t she do this years ago along with some incense sticks? I wouldn’t mind getting my drink and my smoke on. But hey, I can’t knock her hustle.

Meanwhile, I am a sucker for a new fragrance (I don’t have just one signature fragrance, I have too many) and after seeing this ad, I will probably buy the perfume just because Erykah is the new face for Tom Ford White Patchouli. Fragrance is scheduled to be released in September (hint hint! Somewhere my birthday is lurking). That ad is HAWT!!

What would an event be without hair and fashion? Fashion rules over everything, in my opinion. We could care less about the singing sometimes, but if the outfit or the hair is not on point, then it’s a wrap for them!

By the way, did Lil’ Kim just FINALLY jump on the lace front bandwagon? I am NOT feeling the lace front, nor will I be investing in a lace front if it’s going to make me look like that. Sheesh!

Yeah, I’m going there. And there is no turning back.

After reading Blogxilla’s preference on what a woman’s “jungle habitat” should look like (waxed, shaved, landing strip, etc), it just dawned on me. Women don’t talk about how a man’s “jungle” should be maintained. We talk about how the man should be packing or how it’s not the “size of the ship, but it’s the motion of the ocean”. But a man’s pubes? Nada. Zilch. Zero. Not up for discussion. It’s just a jungle and the man wants the woman to “hook him up” down there, if you know what I mean. Musty, nappy and all. Ick.

A while back, I posted a blog about Snoop Dogg’s comments regarding “ugly singers”. Now it seems like Angie Stone is saying the same thing; dark skinned entertainers aren’t getting enough exposure and/or respect and the light skinned people are.

“Well, you know it goes back to the very beginning. If you were light skinned you were in, if you were dark skinned you were out. It very well works that way in the industry. You see very [few] dark skinned people on top of the game. Most of the superstars are very fair or mullatto people. You can check your stats. It works that way in the film world too. I have lost almost every single opportunity to star in a film to Macy Gray or Jill Scott because they’re light and I’m dark. I’ve been told so many times that it’s a certain look that they’re looking for.” (source)

What are your thoughts on this? Are we back in the 80’s again? Are we back to that scene in “School Daze” where there were the “Jiggaboos” and the “Wannabes”?

 You know, it’s too early in the morning for this. It really is. Being the Virgo that I am, I am sometimes cranky, moody and overly critical (which could lead to borderline insane) and for good reason. I pose this question to you guys:Is Christina Milian working? Sheesh, she is always out and about in LA somewhere on these other blogs and I have yet to hear about any upcoming songs, movies, etc. But she is always looking HAWT though. So what gives?

GAHHHHHH!!!

I often wonder if the Jackson family use the same plastic surgeon? And if so, is there a family discount? Because Latoya is looking a mess right about now. Ghostly pale is NOT IN! And please don’t tell me that she has the same disorder as Michael, you know, the vitiligo. And don’t tell me that she looks good for her age either (51). Just age gracefully!

This should be yet another wake-up call to Lil’ Kim, Vivica, Wendy Williams, hell, anyone who is addicted to the knife. Too much is definitely enough. When you get to the point that you are barely recognizable, just stop right there.
