Video: R. Kelly says “elephants don’t swat flies” (who is he calling out? Hmmmm…)
Seriously, I thought this was old news already, pertaining to the beef between R. Kelly and Trey Songz (why is it even necessary?). I guess R. Kelly needed to address that a few months later? If you can get past all the rambling, then I guess what he is saying does make sense.

It’s from the adage “they’re like gnats to an elephant’s behind.” R. Kelly is simply saying that certain people have little to zero importance b/c an elephant never cares what’s around its rectum especially something as minute as a fly. Of course he’s right. R. Kelly has NOTHING to prove to newcomers young enough to be his children. Trey Songz is no exception.

As I look at this video a second time I realize how intelligent R. Kelly is (and always was). The analogy he made with Stevie Wonder proves an excellent point. You need to maintain a level of respect for those artists who opened doors for you & came before you. Trey Songz & several of his contemporaries have forgotten that (or may have never learned).
