Aretha Franklin’s attire at Rockefeller Center….WTF?
I have so many issues with this attire. Never mind that PETA is probably going to go apes–t over Aretha Franklin wearing fur still, but the sneakers with the evening dress? You see why people don’t take her seriously? And she’s covering up “the wrong things, the wrong things”…..
I hope that this photo was taken after she just finished performing and probably wanted to get out of those heels and put on some sneakers. This is a hot mess for sure! I was fine when she wore that hat at the inaugural earlier this year. But this is just inexcusable, unacceptable and just not “queen-like” . Don’t tell me that because she’s the “Queen of Soul”, she can wear whatever she wants. If she wants to be regarded as a queen, then she should carry herself as such, right? (Yes, I snagged that law from 48 Laws of Power, LOL.)

lmao y’all gotta realize Aretha is old and she just tired so she don’t care what none of y’all think or say to many years she has tolled in the trenches singing for her respect and she probably just got bad feet. Let my aunt Ree-Ree (in my head) be great. She is an elder that has done her share and now in her golden years she just want to take it easy fry up everything and live life the way she feel, I ain’t mad at her and you shouldn’t be either. Shit she not in the running for a grammy she past all that so let her be eccentric in her twilight years and just smile and say that’s Ree-Ree.

I have no words to describe that picture. I love Aretha to death, but she needs to do something about her suspect attire. Maybe her ex-husband Glynn Turman needs to slap some sense into her.
