It’s already bad enough that I have to hear about these athletes on steriods. I think we have pretty much accepted it, whether we like it or not.. But now I wake up to see and hear about Sammy Sosa’s newly “rejuventated” face?

WTF? I thought men are supposed to let themselves go and age gracefully. Don’t get me started with the comparisons I heard on the news that Sammy Sosa is bleaching his skin like Michael Jackson (supposedly) did. Next thing you know, we’re probably going to hear that Sammy Sosa has vitiligo or some skin disorder.

Ever since the term “metrosexual” surfaced (I’m sure it died down now), it seems like men are taking pampering to the extreme. Remember the blog I did about Diddy who wasn’t ashamed to admit that he waxes his pubes? While I appreciate the fact that he maintains his pubes, he could have kept that to himself. But a man getting a rejuvenating facial or a peel? I don’t know about that……

It bothers me now that men are getting liposuction, Botox, face lifts and all types of plastic surgery. What’s even more sad is that they don’t look like themselves after all the surgery. Does Mickey Rourke ring a bell?

I can totally understand getting “corrective surgery” (fixing a broken nose, getting Lasik surgery to improve eyesight, etc., etc.), that’s one thing. But to get a facial peel or a rejuvenation treatment and end up looking ghostly pale, that’s another story.

I’m going to chalk this up to Sammy Sosa not doing his research before getting this done and/or not staying in the house to completely recover from this treatment.

Or maybe it’s the lighting…..damn it, lighting.
