Cassie “doesn’t give a f–k”, so why should we about her hair?

By now, you may have already seen Cassie’s new look. (pics spotted at NB)
To me, it’s not about whether or not I like her new look. People change hairstyles often.
My thing is, if she is has this “I don’t give a f–k” attitude about her new look, she wouldn’t need to explain her choice of shaving one side of her head on Twitter. When one wants to alter their appearance, they don’t have to explain why, they just do it! That’s what makes people so unique, they “don’t give a f–k” what anyone else thinks and they don’t explain themselves!
I can understand if the reason one shaves their hair off is because they going for a movie role, are already balding, or going through some chemo treatments. You didn’t see Sinead O’ Connor or Amber Rose explaining why they sported bald heads. Celebrities make a lot of unusual lifestyle, career, or clothing choices that they may or may not regret later on, but they don’t go around seeking approval and/or support.
Cassie, in a way, reminds of someone that I used to know. She chopped her hair really short because some man did her wrong (a’la “Waiting to Exhale”). Years later, she would go and get a piercing because she got fired from her job. My guess is that this was some form of rebellion?
My point is, if one is going to make a fashion statement or a hair altering decision, one doesn’t need to post an explanation on a social networking site. Just do it and move on. People are different regardless, so shaving your head or tattooing yourself isn’t going to make you any more different than the next person.

Am I the only one who is tired of these artist (title used LOOSELY) thinking that changing their hair or look will make us forget the fact their talent is limited? I don’t care if she cut it all off and left a string of hair at the top…it still won’t do anything for her lack of ability to sing. I wouldn’t even download a Cassie album.
And I am in total agreement with your about the entire post. Dead @ her going on twitter explaining herself like she was before a judge. A mess. SMH

I wonder what she hoped to gain by speaking about her new hairstyle on Twitter. It makes her look like more of a fool, and I still think she picked the wrong career as a singer. She should stay a model.
