Who cares if Kanye doesn’t write his own blogs?

kanyefashionweek

As busy as Kanye West is (hanging around his new friend Amber Rose, and trying to be so “amazing”),who honestly has time to blog with a hectic schedule like his? Honestly, I can see why bloggers (celebrity or not) ask others to contribute to their blog. So why come down on him? I guess because it’s really not him writing. So what? Did you honestly believe that it’s really them in the first place on their own websites, Twitter or any other social networking site? I hate to break it to you, but sometimes it’s not them, it’s their assistants.

It reminds me of someone who was highly upset that a certain celebrity didn’t add them as a friend on Myspace. I hated to be so cynical, but even then, I said, “more than likely, an assistant is monitoring their page.” The truth did hurt, but the point is, celebrities don’t have the time to update their site. And do you really want to followa celebrity on their whereabouts on Twitter? I find that most of them are like the rest of us: normal, cheesy, boring, dysfunctional, or trying to promote their latest material. Nothing wrong with that!

“It might [blog for] two hours in a day, it might be fifteen minutes in a day. I have two people that I hired and I tell them exactly what I want — it’s just like how a designer would work. I tell them, you know, Surface magazine, Wallpaper, Architectural Digest, Hypebeast, Bossip — go to these different blogs and keep on pulling information. And then they send it to me, and I get like 80 e-mails, and I have to check and go through them. And sometimes I’ll have my own stuff where I’ll just be in a cool place, like if I had my camera right now, I’d like photograph this stuff and go home and be really excited to blog it. You know, cause I’m in cool places all the time. So it’s a great outlet, and I’m glad so many people are reacting to it. And it’s another opportunity to present design and my opinion of the world and what I think is cool.” (source via Woooha)

Look, if he can have an assistant to Polaroid and clean his sneakers, then why not have assistants write his blog? Maybe next time he should just say that he has featured guest bloggers, that way we can tell whether or not it’s really him.

Why is this even something that draws someone’s ire? These people must live in some cocoon in which they don’t know the goings on of the average celebrity. Kanye is one of the busiest dudes out there in music. I would simply think that that a busy person like himself wouldn’t have much time to blog regularly. Hell I live a boring life & I rarely get the time to blog these days.
