Kanye eats humble pie, says MTV “made” him.

What’s this? No more arrogant remarks from Kanye? No more sly comments like he did at the Grammy Awards? What would the world be without his tantrums? Does that also mean that he’s not going to be blogging in caps? GASP!
Humility must have recently been added to Kanye’s vocabulary and his personality because after he said he was going to “boycott” MTV a few years ago, he was on MTV performing at the Inaugural Ball. I guess he had an awakening and decided to grow up? You make the call…
“That was completely immature and disrespectful and non-appreciative of what MTV did for me; MTV made me. I should never do anything to disrespect that… I sincerely apologize for that and I’ve grown from that.”
“I’m embarrassed by some of the things I say. It’s one thing to be confident, it’s another thing to just be completely a spoiled brat. I was really spoiled because my first album got the most nominations ever, I was performing at the Grammys out of the blue… As soon as I hit the game, I hit the ground running; I had respect, I had accolades, I had record sales. It’s time for the honesty to cut through and to grow up and be a man.” (source)
It’s a good thing and I love that someone can just step back, take a good look at themselves, acknowledge their flaws and work towards correcting them. Nothing turns me off more than an arrogant person. There is confidence and cockiness and I think Kanye has learned his lesson. Now if only we can get him to fix that “shag-mo”, maybe we can appreciate him a little more…….

Also a pet peeve of mines is blogging in all CAPS! lol I absolutely abhor that b/c it tells me that the person is screaming instead of just plain speaking with their words. I’m glad Kanye is realizing his past faults, and he’s totally right about MTV making him. They aired his videos the most out of all the major music video networks, and he became a bigger video star than he did a music star. He even acted halfway decent at the grammys b/w performing “American Boy” & “Swagger like us.” I hope he keeps it up, and there’s no doubt that his shag will go the way of the saber toothed tiger- EXTINCTION! lmao
