O.J. Simpson likes being in jail. Go figure.

Excuse me, but when did jail become cool?
All the while, I thought jail was similar to “Oz” (HBO) and “Lockup” (MSNBC) where it’s all gritty, grimy and a few crazy ones flinging feces. Oh yeah and lot of jail loving going on. I guess not, because people like O.J. Simpson got it really good. (Perks, you pervs!) So this is where our tax dollars go, huh?
Since being moved to the newer Lovelock Correction Center about 90 miles northeast of Sin City on Dec. 19, however, Simpson sounds more content. He has a TV in his cell (but without HBO, he grumbled) and is allowed to wile away the hours playing checkers and cards with fellow cons. He also gives the grub two thumbs up. “If I have to be in prison,” he says, “this is the place to be.” (source)
If that’s not the most ignorant shat that I’ve heard, then I don’t know what is. Oh wait, he did try to come out with a book called, “If I Did It.” Shame on the mess!
This mo-fo is acting like he is giving a referral to a five star restaurant! This isn’t Zagat Survey! That jail food must have clouded his thinking because there is no way in the world that someone would give a recommendation for a correction center. I would expect someone like DMX to say something like this….
I remember someone saying to me that they would rather be in jail than be free because you get 3 meals a day and some other perks that escapes me right now. Probably that TV thing. Still ignorant.

I understand where OJ is coming from. He’s just trying to keep his chin up in the face of controversy. It’s so sad to hear about a once Heisman trophy winning running back becomes just an inmate in a prison. I feel bad for him.
