But you weren’t watching 50 Cent’s show anyway, were you?

If you don’t know by now, 50 Cent’s show “The Money and the Power” has been cancelled. Vitamin Water, anyone? (I’m trying to save my drinking until New Year’s.)
Honestly, could you deal with another “Apprentice” type show? I liked Diddy’s show much better, even though I don’t know what happened to the two winners. Then again, do you even know or care what happens to the winners on these reality shows anyway?
“Rapper, actor and overall entrepreneur, 50 Cent, is having his MTV reality show canceled after roughly one month on the air. After debuting on November 6, The Money and the Power will be permanently shelved due to disappointing ratings. MTV Entertainment President Brian Gradenthe also cited the network’s desire to find shows that better “reflect Generation ‘Why Not?’—living, working and playing on their own terms, ‘adventure capitalists’ if you will, pursuing a variety of thrill-seeking, 2.0, express-yourself enterprises.” “ (source)
I’ll tell you what the problem was with the show from the get-go, there wasn’t a stand out controversial contestant like Poprah from “I Want To Work for Diddy” or New York from “Flavor of Love”. There wasn’t any drama or fights going on (as you all know, I am a cheerleader for foolishness).
The other problem I had with the show was Tony Yayo, 50′s “eyes and ears”. He was just there to me. He didn’t provide 50 with any inside information with the contestants. He was just…… there, ordering the contestants around. I think Yayo just wanted his 15 minutes of fame.
With the show being cancelled, will we ever know who won the $100,000? Oh well. 50 gave it a good old college try.
