Ciara covers “Diva” for her “mixtape”. But is there room for one more?

Well, first of all, I wasn’t aware that singers were putting out mixtapes. Ciara putting out a mixtape as a “teaser” to “Fantasy Ride”? Am I latedotnet with this trend? I wonder if I need to put out a mixtape blog or something. Let us move on…..
Ciara decides to jump on Beyonce’s track and put her own spin on “Diva”. At this point I am beginning to think one of two thoughts; one, Beyonce’s “Diva” is her version of Lil’ Wayne’s “A Milli” (yes, we know, we know) and two, I am afraid that every female singer (or rapper) is going to jump all over this one, as every rapper (and Ne-Yo) jumped all over Lil’ Wayne’s song. Song under the hood:
So, should Beyonce be shaking in her boots right now or should she be flattered? And did she give Lil’ Wayne any type of props at all? Or is she going to put out her own mixtape as a response LOL?
Seriously, I do think that there is enough room for one more diva, right?

Beyonce shouldnt be shaking in her boots… cuz she kills Ciara in every other realm… well except dancing… but Ciara put it down on this one a helluva lot better than Bey… Ciara has street cred so she gets the pass to try and rap over a track… Bey sounds like a straight fool!

The only r&b artists that I believe dropped an official mixtape was Mary J. Blige & that was “what’s the 411″ the remix album. That album started as a mixtape, but it became an official album after the wild popularity it had here in New York. I hate Beyonce’s song “Diva” so evidently I don’t think much of Ciara’s version either. She isn’t much of a singer as is so I see why she went this rout.
