Who would have thought that Aretha Franklin would cover Mariah Carey’s song, “Touch My Body”? After all that beef between her, Beyonce and Tina Turner, it’s nice to see that she checked her ego at the door for at least a minute and a half.
Now if she sang, “Please Excuse My Hands”, then this blog would be over!!!

I don’t think there was no real beef with B. or Tina Turner, but with the Grammy committee. Also she LOVES Mariah Carey. I remember the Divas Live concert in 1998 in which Aretha was a major performer, and the one in 2000 in which Aretha was an honoree who had her songs performed by various artists. Both times she arranged to have Mariah on stage with her b/c unlike the majority of singers today Mariah’s voice is one of the best in music history.
