Dare I say it? BET and Hip Hop Awards (or any awards) DO NOT go together? Didn’t T.I get arrested before the BET Awards? Snoop Dogg arrested after his performance at the MTV awards years ago? Why are celebrities getting arrested before, during or even after the awards ceremony? I don’t want to believe that Katt Williams got arrested by the feds. Yet again. And before taping. But I digress….

Ok, I’m jumping to conclusions here, but who knows if any of this true? Katt Williams is a Virgo, so I kind of want to believe the other rumor; that he was unhappy with what BET was paying him. We Virgos work so hard, but yet we feel unappreciated. Perhaps that is what he felt?

“Katt Williams was reportedly salaried over $50,000 for the hosting role, with scripted writers. Specific motives were not provided from the sources, but it was implied that Williams is disgruntled.” (source)

Now BET put this on their blog (as quoted by Stephen Hill):

“So we were all hanging out last night and Katt bets T-Pain couldn’t beat him in a break dance battle. Not knowing T-Pain was an extremely DOPE break dancer, Katt thought it was an easy win. T-Pain said if I win, I get to host the Hip Hop Awards.” (source)

Are you confused as I am? A dance contest? Arrested by the feds? Money issues? All I know is that I’m watching the BET Hip Hop Awards this Thursday.
