Beyonce – “Single Ladies” (video)
This is Beyonce’s second video. I guess she really likes the whole black and white thing, like her other video “If I Were a Boy”. Also, it looks like she is trying to do the 60′s mod thing. It seems a bit stripped down, no special effects, no extra over the top glamour and glitz, just basic.
Does the video make the song better? Or do you still not like the song?

The video is I-Ight I guess. I’m so sick of seeing her face at this point, and it makes me feel as if she’s the standard the glamor world is pushing for being sexy. Personally I like Jennifer Hudson’s lead single much more than this song, but this song will start where “Get me Bodied” left off. It will get the clubs jumping.

I really love this song and I loved it even more after viewing the video. As far as the black and white concept, I understand it more now. I think she is trying to show maturity, vocally and personally. In an interview she said that once a person becomes more comfortable with themselves they are able to go without all the glamor and special effects. Maybe this is how she is trying to show her fans how she has matured since her last album.
