You know, I really, realy, really hate to revisit old stuff. But why can’t Remy Ma just do the time? I mean, she showed no remorse for shooting her friend. So she hires some lawyers to appeal her case. What is she gonna do, tell the judge that she was justified to shoot her friend because of the money in her purse? I don’t think so!

Seeking to overturn a near decade prison sentence, rapper Remy Ma has retained the legal services of decorated trial attorney William “Billy” Murphy, Jr.

Assisting Murphy on the case will be partner Kenneth Ravenell and New York attorney Ricahrd Levitt. With a new legal team, Remy feels her chances of a successful appeal have increased tenfold.

“With the addition of Mr. Murphy, Ravenell, and Levitt, I now believe I have assembled a team that will have the might and expertise to tell my side of the story,” stated a hopeful Remy Ma. “I am confident that after hearing everything my side will prevail. Well, Remy, I am confident that if you were to get out of jail, you would do the same thing again. Again, with no remorse. But then again, who walks around with $3,000 in their purse?

How does one expect to be treated after they shot their friend? Did she really think that she was going to get away scot free? Did she think she was going to get preferential treatment because she was a celebrity? Umm, no. I guess she feels that in her delusional mind, she’s too good to be in jail. Kinda like that “Conceited” song.

Welcome to the real world, Remy. It’s already enough that we have strikes against us as it is, being black and a female, trying to make it in the world and have men respect us, take us seriously and treat us like queens. Now you want to add a little extra by being a thug?
