What happened to self worth and self esteem? What happened to having talent?
Apparently, Jacki-O just felt the need to tell the world that she laid on her back for $10 grand. Now before you go judging me or bashing me about “there are some people who have done it for free and at least she was smart enough to get paid for it”, or the “sometimes you have no choice” line, just think to yourself, would you really lay on your back in order to get your bills paid or a record deal?

What happened to “Just say no” and moving on to another record label? And newsflash, 10 grand is really not enough to get out of the hood. This isn’t “A Raisin in the Sun”, you know, where $10 grand could go a long way.
By the way, some things are just better left unsaid. But since Jacki-O put it out there, I’m guessing that just like her song, her “Nookie” paid her bills.

That’s fucked up that he gave the advance to everyone else, but put stipulations on hers..
nah…i’da walked away on pure principle..
i won’t judge her for doing what she had to do to get out the hood. i’m sure in SHARING this story, she did so to expose how fucked up it was that he put her in that situation.

Have you ever heard the unedited version? Way off the hook I must say. I really don’t know why she put that out there, and also if it’s totally true b/c it implicates a dude who’s still in the music business. I will say that she should’ve kept it moving. Lol @ Raisin in the Sun! This isn’t 1961 at all so 10 grand can disintegrate easily. My best friend is living proof of that. I’m sure she had other options, but she chose that one. The story makes no sense b/c she to me doesn’t look that good to put that stipulation. Also I’m raising an eyebrow b/c whether anyone knows it or not, this is standard procedure in the corporate world. It’s always kept under the table & on the hush hush, but PLENTY of women sleep with executives of some of these Fortune 500 businesses to get ahead. The fact that Jacki-O stated this dude (E-Class) did the same thing somewhat implies that the same goes on in the music industry. It does, but not as blatantly as she’s explaining it when it comes to executives. Video directors & their related fields would be a different story.
