When all else fails, blame the bloggers.

rickross-cop-unisform.jpg

I’m sure you and I are all aware of Rick Ross’ prison guard past, right? Riiiiight?

So what does a rapper (or any celebrity) do when they focked up or busted with some old pics from the past, etc? They:

a) offer an apology and say that their statement was taken out of context on You Tube (i.e. Yung Berg)

b) man up and hope that the public forgives you

c) call up Al Sharpton and schedule some type of meeting of sorts (i.e. Don Imus and everyone else)

d) blame the bloggers

Exactly why are WE bloggers to blame when it comes to a celebrity’s actions? Check out Rick Ross’ freestyle under the hood. And as you can see, he is STILL in denial.

“Over Snoop Dogg’s “Life of da Party,” he rhymed, “B—-, I’m the boss and I’m laughing at your blogs.” Later he went on to brag, “I’m the glue in the streets, meaning I can get you stuck/ The world knows where the f— I’m from/ Sell rock, 20 chains and I never lost one …/ Heavy on the block, never on the Net.” (source)”

Look, everyone has a past. Skeletons in their closet. A sex tape even. But when you lie about your past, it will eventually come back to haunt you. What is done in the dark will come into light. And all those other cliches that I can’t think of at the moment.

So did Rick Ross do a Vanilla Ice on us? Did he exaggerate about his drug dealing past to get street cred? Is he a “studio gangster”? Or was he just too embarrassed to admit that he worked for the law and afraid to be outed as a hypocrite?

Rick Ross (and any other celebrity) can blame us bloggers all they want, but sorry, we didn’t put a gun to their heads and tell them to deny that they had worked as a prison guard. Or say that they don’t like “dark butts (Yung Berg)”. You made your bed, now lie in it. Oops, yet another cliche.

First of all Rick Ross’ name is ripped off of a well-known Oakland hustler named “Freeway” Ricky Ross. He’s basically stealing his identity & creating rhymes to that effect. “Freeway” Ricky Ross actually did transport keys of cocaine & saw profits of $1 million per week. He actually turned Oakland from a thriving city to a drug palace for users & abusers. Rick Ross the rapper is just tapping his life & living off it since there’s not much “Freeway” Ricky Ross can do from a federal prison in which he’s doing a life sentence. You were a prison guard duke. That sounds plain & simple to me. Just man up already!

At first, I figured maybe he was just going after one blog in particular; but when dude spits “Heavy on the block, never on the Net”, he’s showing his ignorance by disregarding the most influential medium on the planet.

There are still too many people who still believe things operate the same as they did 10.. even 5 years ago. People need to realize that “word of mouth” has become “word of mouse”.
