No money, more problems.
They say that most Virgos have issues. I think we all have our share of issues, real or imaginary. But gotdayum, Scott Storch! He has some major issues! How many does one need that they end up in hiding and what not?
“His empire seems to be sinking, thanks to his lavish way of living, excessive spending, and poor money management, not to mention to downsizing music industry. Storch once commanded an estimated $100,000 per beat. But with the decline of music sales, labels refuse to pay those prices any longer.
According to reports, 34-year-old Storch is nowhere to be found these days. The Associated Press reports that Storch owes over $500,000 in real estate taxes for his $10.5 Miami waterfront mansion, and previously had warrants out for his arrest for not turning up in court in his child-support case in June.” (source)
I smell a “Behind the Music” or an “E! True Hollywood Stories” episode in the making, don’t you? Because they always end up the same way, start off from a poor upbringing, career takes off, spend money, do drugs, burn out and then make a comeback.
Scott Storch needs to start selling some ringtones or something really quick. I’m tired of hearing about these broke celebrities already!

I don’t think Scott was ever poor, but his circumstances are different. Let me first say that there’s a blinding typo there. No mansion in Miami cost $10.5 otherwise I would take out a ten & 2 quarters instantly to buy it. I’m sure they meant $10.5 million. The problem is the music industry. It has already reached it’s zenith. It is SO SATURATED with artists & records that you have to either be lucky or the best of the best to make hit albums & songs. Also, technology is biting the music industry in the butt while helping. Although one can buy an album at the click of a button, one can just as easily download it from a non-paying site. With this in mind, the music industry is trying to limit its costs on all corners. Therefore producers have to charge less b/c record labels aren’t willing to pay that much. Also artists who can produce their own records are becoming more & more preferred (aka Kanye West, Alicia Keys, Will.i.am, etc.) Scott Storch is therefore not commanding these same funds while still living an ostentatious lifestyle. Storch should just get a condo & keep just one luxury car. All will be fine then. This is why Jay-Z is so intelligent. He noticed already that the music industry is just about maxed out, and that’s why he inked a deal with LiveNation. With or without techology, everyone wants to see their favorite celebrity live.
