In no particular order, I have put together the best and the worst performances from the BET 2008 Awards last night. I’m going to start with the Worst one (seen above).

First off, Keyshia Cole. I’m sorry, but my eyes AND my ears couldn’t take it. I should have hit the “mute” button on my remote but I didn’t. And Lil’ Kim with that lace front, ugh!

Secondly, and I don’t mean any disrespect whatsoever, but Al Green really lost me in the acceptance speech. When he performed “Let’s Stay Together”, I still didn’t know what to make of the performance, but when he performed “Love and Happiness“, I felt like it gained momentum.

The best performances, I felt that Ne-Yo’s performance was the best, followed by Chris Brown. Ne-yo’s was just sharp and crisp, while Chris Brown’s performance was great. Ciara came out and there was some serious bumping and grinding going on LOL….all I can say was wooowwwww. Burn the incense and get me some Grand Marnier!

And I cannot forget about Alicia Keys along with SWV, En Vogue and TLC. That was great. Although she could have stepped it up wardrobe wise, she looked too casual for me.

Some questionable performances:

Usher “Love in this Club“. Was he lip synching? He did seem a bit stiff and I wonder if he has lost his touch?

T-Pain and various artists: UGH! T-Pain’s outfit alone, along with Rick Ross and his man-boobs made me want to hurl.

 Young Jeezy featuring Kayne West: It’s a miracle that Kanye didn’t storm off the stage after that performance. That dayum vocoder thing has GOT TO GO!!

Rihanna: I wasn’t really feeling the dress, but the performance was so-so to me. 

I didn’t see Nelly’s or Lil’s Wayne’s performance (sorry).
