Random BS for the weekend.

martini-glass.jpg

It’s been about 3 and a half, maybe 4 months into this whole website thing and I love it. And sometimes I don’t love it. Sometimes there is nothing to blog about because everyone else has blogged about the same thing, but with a twist. Hence, this post right here, Random BS.

  • I just got this term from a comment posted over at Rhymes with Snitch regarding a blog war: “Blog Chitlin Circuit”. Ooookay. Whatever happened to blogging for fun? What’s with all the labels?
  • What will you do with your rebate check?
  • I need to find out what is so hawt about Atlanta. For real. I got a text message from a friend of mine who said that he is moving back there. I need to do like a “top 10″ list of why I should go down there. At least for a visit. Everyone else seems to be talking about ATL.
  • I am so tired of reality TV, especially with these foreigners coming over to the US and criticizing us. You know, Simon from “American Idol”, Gordon Ramsey from “Hell’s Kitchen” and some UK hairstylist named “Peter” from this show I just watched on Style Network called “Peter Perfect”. How would they like it if I came to their country and start criticizing them? I think it would make for a good show, being the way I am.
  • MzVirgo promises to add some more personal blogs. Not because someone asked for it, but because it wouldn’t be a blog without a little soul baring.
  • If there is any liquor or new mixed drinks recipe out there that you think I should know about, please feel free to post them (or email me) right here. I am a sucker for a sweet, fancy drink or a new liquor. And while we’re talking about that…..
  • Yes, I used to bartend. I think I may have mentioned that before. But yes, I did do some bartending for like a good 6 months to a year last year at some smaller establishments. But I had to hang it up. I miss it though, but shifts start at 4PM and I already had a day job. And just like blogging, bartending can be a competitive thing too. Trying to get a gig when no one is hiring, competing with other bartenders, memorizing drinks, etc. And yes, I still remember those drinks.

It’s funny that you mention that. Because I am down here in Atlanta on vacation as well. I was tired of all the cold weather and craziness of the north and had to get away.

Mz. Virgo do you know the recipe for a Mai Tai (sp) preferably similar to the one they have at Fridays.

- I have noticed that bloggers can be very blog-sensitive. I had brief blog-beef with Kerry “Krucial” Brothers (there go my chances at producing for A.Keys, sigh).. He was ok about it, but others get very snippy. They hate that your blog can beat up their blog. Maybe they will cry and take their blog and go home. Stop this blog-on-blog violence! Can’t we all just blog along? lol
- Pay back debt. Or blow it on cool electronics. (shows why I have a debt in the first place, huh.. lol)
- Hm. He is a him. Him like hers, yes? Cuz if him likes other hims, thats a big ATL plus, so they say. I like ATL (NOT for that reason! lol). Been there long time ago, scooped a local chicky, had a blast. My homie lives down there now, says ‘man, this is music/media/business capital down here.. with your day-job (semi-big-dog) AND your Manny Faces stuff, you’d be the issh down here. Big things down here for you”.. I say, “Yea maybe, but there is a big ex-wife of mine down there too, so no thanks,” as I continue to look for jobs in Miami. Ha.
- Good point! Maybe we should go there and get them all mad and stuff and then laugh hysterically at them because of how silly they sound when they are mad.
- I love the bartender! Have you heard my Bartender remix? (www.mannyfaces.com) — Ironically, they LOVE it in ATL, it’s the only version played on any radio station in the city. Hm. Maybe I should go there after all.

@Mila.

I don’t know the TGIFriday’s version, but here goes:

Bacardi Light Rum (one ounce)
Bacardi 151 Rum (or Dark Rum) (half ounce)
Grenadine (splash)
Triple Sec (half ounce)
Lime Juice (splash)
(Orange Juice optional)
one cup of ice and a blender
Garnish with cherry, orange and pineapple

Hope this helps and thanks for your question, I think I will try a Mai Tai at home!

Since, mine is a personal blog, I don’t have to worry about blog wars. Unless someone wants to pretend to be me.
Then, I need a PFA.
I’m using my rebate to help get a business off the ground.
I want to visit ATL but, that is it. I read it is number 1 for DL men. And third for STD’s. There was something else but, I fogot.
I don’t watch reality shows. To me TV is how I get away from reality.
Don’t drink never have.

I use to want to be a bartender. I know it’s not the best job, but when you’re working in a restaurant, it’s the most fabulous job.

LMAO, at the foreigners telling us what to do. I never realized. I don’t like the competitive reality shows, ‘cept Top Model, which has gotten mighty boring. But I’ll take some Life in the Fab Lane and Keepig up with the Kardashians, which has also gotten boring, but they wear cute shoes… But I have nothing left, cause the Style chanel just doesn’t have style anymore.

And yeah, I start writing about myself so much, that I ended started a whole different blog. Yeah, multi-blogging is the new black. Plus my personal thoughts can be tmi for the Cube.

As for the ATL; it is now my adopted home. Also; since I’ve been here, I’ve found that there really IS always something to do here. It’s just a matter of your personal taste. As for the DL; it’s a national epidemic; it will be wherever U are.

Been doing the blog thing for about 2 months now. I do mix in some personal concerns along with other stuff. It gives me a little wider range of things to post about. Still trying to find my true groove. So sometimes; I add the personal stuff out of frustration.
