Gay rappers to be exposed in a tell all book?

book-cover.jpg

UT, I say!

A book written by former MTV executive Terrance Dean is due out on May 13th about homosexuals in the hip-hop industry.

“For many gay mainstream hip-hop artists coming out is not an option, however, living on the down low is.

“Hiding In Hip-Hop” uncovers a hidden and well-known unspoken secret. Deep within the confines of Hip-Hop is a prominent gay sub-culture. A world that industry insiders are keenly aware of, but choose to ignore.

According to Dean, “This book is filled with intrigue, sexy celebrity bed partners, abundance of drugs, and of course, the down low/gay men and celebrities in the entertainment industry.” (Source)

Are we ready for this? Do we want to know that our favorite rappers could be gay? What are your thoughts of homosexuals in the hip hop industry (gay and lesbian)?

Personally, I dont care. I actually think its a shame these people have to hide who they truly are because most will face an extreme backlash that will more than likely end their careers. I just dont understand why its anyones business who someone decides to sleep with–gay or straight.

Interesting post MzVirgo. I’m including this in my round-up ;-)

I thought everyone in the industry was on some ole hedonistic type stuff. I’m surprised half of them don’t have a serious disease.

It is troubling that it is killing women that sleep with DL men, but we won’t allow our gay brothers to be themselves.

I’m sure it will make an interesting read. Due to the fact that there a number of people out here who have no life of their own and feel that if they destroy or try to shame others that it some how makes them a “better” person. The truth of the matter is really makes them seem like a smaller person or a parasite. Oh, like the song says “you just do you and I’m a do me, wanna see how it’s done then watch me do me!”

first and far most, I hate to see anyone being exposed in any way. I think that people should come out on there on. If they want folks to know they would tell folks. At the sametime for the ladies that’s involved with these so called DL brotas then yes they need to know. Its scary and really who is it helping. regardless if they choose to expose themselves or not. It’s all gossip to me unless he can come up with some hardcore proof. We only going by what he is saying in his book. Now first we Had Supahead exposing folks, when in all she only got fifeteen minutes of more sexual fame ( she should just be a porn star) Now here come this cat calling folks out. Why not write a book about being an Executive at MTV. Who cares if these artist are gay. hell its not going to stop the groupies from fucking them and the fans for loving them. REAL IS REAL! It don’t mean you not keeping it real because you choose not to go public with your sexual orientation. HELL FOLKS WHO ARE NOT FAMOUS don’t ( well some) I think it’s a blow to the belly. I will not be buying a book about who’s gay and who not! WHO CARES! This ish been going on since HOLLYWOOD STARTED WITH THIS WHOLE CELEBRITY CRAP!

actors, rappers, athletes, average working men and women (blacks withes, etc…..) if your living that kind of lifestyle you all need to be born again John 3:3. Why are you hiding in the closet? Because, you can’t hid from God.
