Remind me again, why we need to stand by our man?
First John McCain and now Governor Spitzer is caught up in some scandalous nonsense.
New York Governor Eliot Spitzer supposedly spent thousands of dollars on a call girl from a high end escort service. I guess wifey wasn’t handling business at home, hmmm. On the other hand, thousands of dollars? She must be good at what she does…….
With the exception of Jim McGreevey’s ex-wife (the NJ governor who admitted that he was gay), why do these women choose to stand by their husbands even through all that scandal? And if you notice, whenever there is a press conference, the wives, even though they are trying to play it cool, always look ICY in the pics! But yet, they choose to stick with them through thick and thin…..
Now there is pressure for Spitzer to step down. Will the wife still stick by him after he steps down?
I must say, it’s a freaky world that we’re living in where our goverment and our politicians can’t even keep their pants on.

I was NEVER big on this joint by LL. I think this was off his album “14 shots to the dome.” I liked “Backseat of my Jeep” MUCH better. These are politicians’ wives Mz. Virgo. Traditionally they’ve never had the will or desire to leave their men no matter what. As often as FDR cheated Eleanor Roosevelt never left, and aren’t I glad she didn’t. Her work as first lady was magnificent & had she divorced FDR she would’ve never had a national podium to mount the many works that’s accredited to her. The fact that she’s sticking by him is b/c she herself can wheel more power by being married to an elected politician. If Spitzer resigns, then I don’t know what her call is. They do have a family with three daughters & I’m sure she’s thinking about them first. She may still stick with him to maintain homeostasis in their abode.

Now to the issue at hand. Let’s say a man was married to a senator, mayor, etc and they get caught up in some scandal, are they going to stand by that woman? I think not! Men are quick to kick their woman to the curb if they found sexy pictures on her Myspace!
Men and women react differently when it comes to scandal. Why should a woman stay around after he admits to the scandal? He strayed away (allegedly) and spending money on another woman.
It’s 2008. While Jackie Onassis and Hillary Clinton are credited for backing up their man for their infidelities and keeping the family together, I just feel like these wives are just putting up with it because if they left, they would have no sense of identity or self. And they KNOW that it’s eating them up inside the minute they look at him. Remember, they can forgive, but they will NEVER forget.

ok I can’t defend him but hey anyone can really fug up..maybe Mamma Spitzer was a board in bed and he got turned out? What if after 15 years she still has not provided oral services? Is it an excuse? No but it makes it seem plausible slightly..what if she cheated first and he never said anything??
